Snorlax is a massive, gluttonous Normal-type Pokémon from the Pokémon franchise, debuting in Generation I. Known as Kabigon in Japan, it is famous for its immense size, appetite, and ability to sleep anywhere, blocking paths in games until awakened by a Poké Flute. It symbolizes relaxation and power in Pokémon lore.
First released in the Pokémon Jungle expansion set in June 1999 by Wizards of the Coast in English, as the second Base Set expansion.
Condition. Check for holo scratching on the face and belly, centering (often off top/bottom), edge whitening, surface scratches, and print lines; common flaws include roller marks and corner wear from age.
Storage. Store in semi-rigid holders or top-loaders with sleeves in cool, dry conditions away from sunlight; use cardboard dividers in binders to prevent scratching.
Authenticity. Verify WOTC copyright 1999, rounded corners, correct font/spacing on text; fakes often have sharp corners, blurry art, or wrong holo pattern; check blacklight for glow; authenticate via graded/graded grading.
